I grew up listening to the smashing pumpkins, this was basically the first song that i ever heard by them when i started listening 2 their music. I love disarm because of its raw passion and also one of my favorite songs by them.

Nice 1, I grew up listening to Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana. Disarm is possibly my favourite song by Smashing Pumpkins, it always makes me happier when I play it.

Suck it up, Billy-Bob. Whatever you "suffered" through, obviously you thought you could leave SP to cash in on it. Maudlin Poseur Asswipe, 'Murkin Morrisey Wannabe.D'arcy is Goddess. She's so beautiful in this vid.

Yall all have it wrong. This is a song to his parents about his childhood, which he obviously did not enjoy. "The years burn" - his childhood is a painful memory. Though his parents expect him to be mean to them, he's nice to them - he "disarms them with a smile." Etc, etc. There's a video on TY in which he says "I wrote this song b/c I couldn't kill my parents." It's basically his way of dealing with a difficult childhood.

i thought this song was about billy's childhood living with his stepmother and father and the abuse he suffered there!

I would just like to say that this song is not about greed or money at all, its an emotional song about how if you can send a smile over to someone and make them smile you can capture their heart"The Bitterness of one who's leftALONE! "like Z said
